GPS Tracking for Cars – Whats the theme of this story. its good lol?
ok. the story is about a teen, named justin whos a reckless driver and likes to party. well, he had just got back from a party right, and he decides to speed over a speed bump. well after, when he goes to change the radio station he hears a voice
” marian is programing” at first he thought it was just a commercial. but then he keeps hearing it so he responds ” marian?” the voice responds. he figures its just a GPS that the previous owner didnt tell him about.( this is a crappy car) so ‘marian’ directs him home. well, he ends up in the middle of no where on train tracks when his car breaks down. The GPS tells him to wait 5 minutes before he tries to restart it and that the train in 6 minutes away. he trusts her. then when the 5 min. is up. he tries to start it but marian stops him. and tells him that he has so many min. before he can start it and that the train is only 12 seconds away. he begins to worrie, gets out and runs. then a few seconds later the train hits and the car scatters. The GPS tried to kill him. At the end of the story I found out that the GPS was a spirit who wanted to get revenge b/ she got killed by the same car by the guy who sold the car to Justin. B/ he was a reckless driver. just like Justin
I figured 3 literary elements were Characterization: Justin is a reckless driver
Symbolism:marian was killed by a reckless driver.Justin symbolises a reckless driver
Irony: Justin has the same car marian got killed by.
Idk, I don’t think they make sense. What do u think?
Best Answer: I think it all makes perfect sense… a good flow to the story, an interesting theme… a twist on “Christine” or any other car-revenge story with the GPS and the train. I like it!
Plus your 3 literary elements make sense to me. Except Justin never symbolizes a reckless driver, he IS one. Stick with Marian on the symbolism, and maybe work in the train somehow.
Oh, somebody else wrote the story and it’s your homework, right? I am so often fooled!
